Thanks again for your patience as we navigate this mess. Classes are again being offered, although in a somewhat limited fashion. Social distancing and mask will be required and we will limit class size to 4. Our current hours are Tuesday – Friday 11 – 6 and Saturday 11 – 3. Hope to see you soon, stay safe.

Located in historic Charleston, South Carolina, Blue Heron Glass is coastal Carolina’s largest supplier of sheet glass and tools for the glass hobbyist. Our extensive and ever-changing selection of Bullseye, Wissmach, Kokomo, Youghiogheny, as well as other glasses are sure to challenge even the most discriminating pallet.

In the gallery you can find works from owner Mike Hiester’s continuing odyssey with kiln-formed glass as well as selections from other artists of the Lowcountry. Filling the windows is a collection of leaded panels and glass in the traditional copper foil technique, from contemporary patterns, interpreted and constructed by the Blue Heron staff. Commissions for home, office, or place of worship are welcome.

We will work with you through the process of design, fabrication, and installation. We also offer classes in basic techniques, as well as occasional workshops using more advanced procedures.

Blue Heron Glass is your one stop to immerse yourself in the world of art glass and indulge your imagination.

We gladly accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards.
Please note, there is a $15 minimum purchase with debit and credit cards and you will be assessed a “I want to use plastic” fee of approximately 4%
