Winter 2020 Class Schedule
$50 deposit required to register. Deposits are refundable for store credit up to a week before the class starts and are non-refundable a week before the start of class. Please wear closed-toe shoes. There is a minimum of three students per class; classes may be cancelled for insufficient enrollment. Call (843) 769-7299 for information or to register.
Additionally, note that many of our classes require students to stand for long periods of time. Please take this into consideration when registering for a class. We will do our best to make accommodations, but require prior notification. Thank you.

Special Studio Time Projects
Blue Heron Glass is offering the following workshops as a fun introduction to kiln-worked glass. Studio time is available Tuesdays and Wednesdays by appointment. Please call ahead to assure space and materials. We occasionally also offer studio time on Fridays. This must be scheduled in advance. The price for each project includes all required glass, space to work, gentle monitoring, and kiln time. Suitable gift boxes are available for an additional charge.

All projects are completed with the ‘fused’ glass process and you will not be able to take the finished piece home the day of construction.

Beginning Fusing and Slumping ($225)
- Tuesday, February 11, 18, 25 6 – 8 pm
- Tuesday, March 10, 17, 24 6 – 8 pm
This fun and informative class provides a general overview of fusing techniques, pitfalls, and procedures. Students will create an 8-inch square dish and a 12-inch round bowl in this three-week class. Tuition of $225 includes all materials, a text book, and kiln time.
Beginning Stained Glass ($150)

A great way to experience stained glass! Construct a copper foil panel with patterns and glass supplied. Over the course of three weeks, you will cut glass from a pattern and solder the finished product. All patterns, materials and use of tools are included. Class meets two hours each week for three weeks. Tuition of $150 includes all materials.
Intermediate Stained Glass: Copper Foil II –
Lowcountry Lighthouses / Garden Creatures ($200)
- Thursday, March 5, 12, 19, 26, 6 – 8 pm
***Beginning Stained Glass or previous glass experience is required for this course.
Students in this four week class will create a wonderful copper-foil panel of one of the Lowcountry’s beautiful lighthouses: Morris Island, Sullivan’s Island, or Hunting Island or a visitor to our Lowcountry gardens. Utilizing all the skills they learned in the Beginning Stained Glass class, this project incorporates a wide variety of cuts and is of a moderate level of difficulty.
Tuition of $200 includes a $35 glass allowance. Please allow time before the first session to make your glass selection. This is NOT a beginning stained glass class, previous experience in glass cutting and copper foil construction is required. This project may require extra time to complete, depending on the student’s pace and experience. Work can be done at home or studio time can be purchased to work in the shop.

Studio Time is offered by appointment only.
Cost is $15 per hour, which includes use of shop space and tools. Please buy or bring your own glass and supplies. Studio space is not always available and is NOT a substitution for class instruction.
